Hi I’m Matt, the founder and director of Inspire Physiotherapy Centre operating out of EMF Fitness Centre in Bundall.

I embarked on the journey of becoming a physio after many years of being an amateur athlete. I played a variety of sports growing up from Australian Rules football, to surfing, basketball and cricket. It was during these years that a fascination of how the human body worked formed. This drove me to pursue physio as a career and I haven’t looked back since. I was lucky enough to get my first break in a large private practice on the Gold Coast which opened many doors for me to pursue both my love of sport and physiotherapy and gave me the opportunity to learn from some very experienced practitioners.

Over the years I have taken on many roles working in sport while also participating myself. This has given me a great insight into the mind of an athlete and what being active and able to exercise means to people. With this in mind my rehabilitation of injured athletes is structured around maintaining training as much as possible rather than limiting it too much. My approach to treating injuries is with an equal emphasis on good, quality hands on treatment with appropriate rehabilitation to strengthen weak areas and improve mobility to reduce the likelihood of recurrent injury down the track.

Injuries happen unfortunately, when they do I would love the opportunity to guide you through your recovery so that we can get you back on track faster, minimize your down time and prevent it from happening again in the future.
